'Helicopter Parenting' is a term we often use to refer to parents of school or college students. Parents take responsibility for every important decision in their life. Parent's intervention in everything means what to wear ,of which color, what to eat or not to eat, etc. Parents also interfere in the very small tasks of the child and take small decisions related to them such as choosing friends, going for walks, playing etc.

2. Helicopter parents are those who accompany the child at all times. Be it school, tuition, friends or any personal place. Over time, the child begins to feel uncomfortable with this habit.

3.This type of parenting reduces children's self-esteem. He is not able to decide anything.
Lack of decision making ability is seen in the children of parents with over protective behavior.

4.Such parents do not give the child a chance to speak in front of others, they themselves put the child's side. Going beyond this, the child is not able to learn to present himself properly in front of anyone and at times cannot handle the challenge and failure.

5.Such children are not able to learn to face adverse situations because parents are around them all the time to protect them from every bad situation.

6. Such children are never able to take the credit of being successful because they get success from their parents.

7.Because of such over-protective behavior of parents, their friends start making fun of him. Even friends start teasing such a child with names like Loser.

8.Due to this kind of parenting, children start suffering from serious illness like depression.
