HOW TO STUDY FOR EXAM

Hello friends,
 Greetings of the day!

Here I am writing a blog for all the candidates who are
how to study for exam, how to manage exam stress
smart study tips
appearing in an exam(Academic/Competitive).

Whenever a student has an exam it gives stress. Level of stress depends on how a student has prepared for it. If the preparation is well, stress would be less and vice versa.

If a student has not prepared well the intensity of stress becomes higher.
Some of this stress is good for students because it forces them to study more.

With the proper planning and time management student can not only bear the exam stress and but can score a very good mark as well.

So let's go for the tips

Tip no.1:-  FIX A TIME FOR THE STUDY

study tips

First of all, we should fix a particular time to study every day. We have seen in our life if we start doing something on a fixed time then in the beginning, we feel difficulties to doing that work and maintain that routine but after some time it becomes our habit and we feel comfortable doing that work on that particular time e.g. going to GYM. Similarly, if we start the study at a fixed time it will not only motivate us for the study but also remind us that we have to study at that time and we leave all the works and start studying.

Tip no.2:- REVIEW SYLLABUS

When we fix a time for the study than our next work is to figure out "our syllabus". Figure out
how to make notes
review syllabus
syllabus means we have to check out many things like:-
How many syllabi we have covered earlier and how much is left.
Which are the important topics/ chapter we have to cover first?
How many topics/chapter we read/study every day so that we can complete our syllabus before the exam.
How much time we should give for new lesson learning and how much for old revisions.

Tip no.3:- MAKE A PLAN FOR STUDY

After figuring out syllabus we have to make a plan for the complete study
how to study for exam, how to get full marks
How to plan
and we should start the study according to that plan.
Most of the time student get confused when they don't have a plan. This plan will include each and every aspects related to our study like-

  • Which topic will we cover today or and which one on tomorrow?
  • How many hours will we study?
  • After how many minutes will we take a break?
  • What will be the duration of the brake etc?

This plan will help in going in a particular direction and we will never be confused about our preparation.

Tip no.3:-

FIND A CLEAN AND SILENT ROOM FOR STUDY

study room design
Now the time comes for the study. We should not study anywhere in the house. Generally, what happens whenever we feel to study we take a book and start studying on the bed or in front of the tv or at any corner of the house. But this is a very wrong way of study. We need to get a neat and clean room with properly ordered goods and books.

If we don't have a separate study room then we can adjust and arrange anyone's room or even any corner of the house and make it as a study room.
Clean and Quiet room not only prepare our mood for the study but also it helps us in understanding and learning topics easily. It improves our concentration and attention too. We can put some role models' picture on the study table and some motivational quotes.

Tip no.4:- TURN THE TV/MOBILE OFF

When we start study we should turn all electronic devices off or
keep away from the study table.

Nowadays it has become impossible to live without using social media.

Social media addiction plays a major role to get distracted from the study.
Some students think they are multitasking they can study as well as watch television, they can chat online with friends while studying but research has shown "this is not true for the majority of the students". For better study and result remove all distraction as much as possible.

Tip no.4:- PAPER WRITING PRACTICE

When we complete our syllabus we should go for the next step i.e.
                          PAPER WRITING PRACTICE
If we focus only on learning or cramming or just completing the syllabus and we forget about writing practice then it may lead to creating problems which we can face during the exam like

  • we can not complete the answer within a given time period
  • our hands start paining when we write suddenly for a long time etc.
to solve these kinds or future problem we have to collect the last 5 -10 years question paper set and start solving like we solve in the real exam. try this it will help you a lot.

Tip no.4:- WRITE DOWN YOUR DESIRED PERCENTAGE

Students you must have heard about the
                        POWER OF SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
It has great power or we can say unlimited power.
It gives us everything whatever we want, only we need to work according to that. We will discuss this in my next page here we come to the main point. We have to set the desired percentage what we want in the exam, the desired percentage should be real. Each and every student knows about their capability ( how many percents they can get in the exam if they study well ) so decide according to that and write down in a paper. That paper should be stuck in your study table, study room, bedroom. It will motivate you for the study and our brain will start working accordingly. You will be amazed after seeing your final result, it will be near your desired percentage.

Tip no.4:- DAILY REVISION

Revision is a very important part of the exam preparation.
Only learning new things every day is not good for the student.
Students should revise everything on a regular basis whatever they studied earlier. It will help them to keep topics or lessons for a longer time in their mind. While revising keep these things in the mind:-
  • Read slowly and observe the concepts
  • Underline the key points
  • Write a summary of the topic.
  •  If possible draw diagram of the topic.
  •  Mentally visualize the diagram and finally keep revising till your exam.

Tip no.4:- DAILY MEDITATION

It's very beneficial to do some brain exercises and meditate after a
few hours of study. It helps to recharge your mind and refill it with positive energy. Another thing which can be done is to take a walk outdoors or in a garden. Let your body take the fresh air and soak in some sunlight. It will send some chemical that energizing your brain.

I hope you would love these tips.

Thank you
