WHAT IS SEROTONIN

Greetings of the day!!

Today I am sharing some information about "SEROTONIN" in simple and easy words.

Serotonin is a neurotransmitter like Dopamine ( I have already explained it in my previous post). Neurotransmitter means a chemical that transmits the message in the brain through nerve cells.

Serotonin (C10H12N2O ) or 5-hydroxytryptamine is a monoamine neurotransmitter that is released by the "Pineal Gland" and affect the whole body. It is a very important neurotransmitter in our human body. It is also called " Happy Chemical". Serotonin helps us to regulate mood and social behavior.

It is also responsible for many functions of the body such as:-

Mood
Behavior
Sleep
Depression
Memory
Sexual Desire
and many more things

 Our body needs serotonin in an adequate amount. If we don't get serotonin in a good amount we may face these problems:-

brain chemical imbalance
Anxiety and Panic Attack
Social Phobia
Depression
Low Self-Esteem
Memory Loss
Breathing Problems
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Blood Clotting Problems
etc

Apart from these, there are few more symptoms like:-

Insomnia
Migraine
Tinnitus and
Being overly sensitive to pain 

If we have these kinds of symptoms then we need to increase the serotonin level . we can improve it in two ways -

ways to increase serotonin in the brain.

A> Exercise:- we should do exercise at least 20 minutes a day to balance the serotonin.

B>Sunshine:-we should take a sunshine shower regularly. sunshine gives us Vitamin D, which is a great source of Serotonin.


C> Brain Food:- we should eat those foods which are essential for brain function.

D> Drink Milk regularly:- we should drink milk at least one glass a day. milk is a very good source of serotonin, vitamin protein calcium, etc.

E>Yoga and meditation:-  Yoga and meditation also help in balancing the serotonin level in our brain.

#But if you need a quick result then you should take a cold shower

It will be unpleasant when you take but after a few minutes, you will feel amazing. this one is a very powerful way to improve serotonin quickly.



Apart from these, there are some supplements and drugs available in the market that will give you a good and immediate result, but we should avoid these kinds of products as they have many side effects.
