Moderate consumption of alcohol may provide some health benefits.

The definition of moderate drinking is something of a balancing act.
An occasional glass of wine might be the key to a longer life and improved cognition.

Some benefits are such as: Reducing the risk of happening and dying from heart diseases. Possibly reducing the risk of ischemic stroke (when the arteries to your brain become narrowed or blocked, causing severely reduced blood flow) Possibly reducing your risk of diabetes.

Drinking a lot of alcohol is obviously not good for health. Cirrhosis, liver disease, and breast cancer are all negative effects of high alcohol consumption.

If you're looking to be healthier while drinking alcohol occasionally, these are the healthiest alcohols you can choose from.
  1. Tequila. Tequila has numerous health benefits ( and is lower in calories than vodka). ...

  • You have liver or pancreatic disease
  • You have heart failure or you've been told you have a weak heart
